Fade to Green

by Midday Overcast

  • Book/Magazine + Digital Album

Risograph ink (black, green, red, gold) on Ledger Green Kraft Paper (80T) by French Paper. Printed by SVA RisoLab, NYC.

Midday Overcast was an emo/godcore band started by Set Laguna, and backed by drummer Jordasche Pfluger and the infamous Wagoo. They had three releases that fit together in a spectacular, if not overly sullen way. The rest of their stuff is basically shit.

"We get compared to these guys sometimes. It pisses me off."

You hated these bands, didn’t you. These fakers. These poseurs. They didn’t know music. They didn’t know the heat that could be generated by polyester in the summertime. Hang your head now, emo friend, and listen as the wind that blows you over explains You do not get to choose the names, nor who wins… I hear you, friend. I hated them too.

about

A Compendium of Classic Disques (volume 3) is a collection of record reviews culled from the personal files of mysterious author, activist investor, and film director Rik Pollen. Each album under review is widely considered to be a canonical piece of music; together with Mr Pollen's famous wit and inisght, the collection is truly a gift to the field of artistic criticism, as well as to music snobs everywhere.
